Blizzard's announced schedule covers the beta, name reservation and character creation, launch, raid unlocks, winter Hardcore, and Spring/Summer 2027 updates. These are plans, not live-content evidence. See the beta reference for access/install details and the release-date report for chronology.

The roadmap image prints “SEPT 17 - OCT 22.” Blizzard's pre-purchase article and Battle.net product page instead say beta access continues through October 21, 2026, Pacific Time. No opening or shutdown hour is published.

A Skyborne Epic Pack, WoW: Forever Collection, or physical Collector's Edition guarantees beta access; signup does not (Blizzard Support). October 27–November 3, the purchasing account may reserve up to three characters, first come, first served; names are not guaranteed. Subscription or Game Time is required from launch.

Evidence and unresolved points

The December 9 card lists Barrow Deeps (10), Hyjal Summit (20), and Onyxia's Lair (40); the What's Next Panel Recap confirms the date and first two. The Opening Ceremony recap counts two new raids, leaving Onyxia's status and staging unclear. No beta zone/instance roster, phase schedule, wipe/carryover rule, or exact Hardcore date is published. Spring lists two raids, two dungeons, two class/race combinations, quests, a playable area, and PvP refresh. Summer lists a “REVAMPED ICONIC RAID,” a new raid, expanded world content, two dungeons, PvP refresh, and professions/legacy updates. Icy Veins reports a Spring legendary questline absent from the image; that is secondary-only. Footer: timing/content may change.

Progression cadence and power-creep analysis

In community analysis, Ben (.khalma) views the roadmap's horizontal progression model as relying on balance passes, set bonuses, and trinkets to refresh class gameplay across phases instead of endless stat increases (message), while noting that power creep will eventually be difficult to prevent. He also anticipates a slow release cadence that affords ample time for alts between raid releases. This represents personal player analysis, not official Blizzard scheduling.
