Digital upgrades are one-time purchases. They do not replace the Subscription or Game Time needed for ongoing play. Epic and Collection Game Time activate at launch; Collector's Edition time activates when its code is claimed. US prices were checked September 12, 2026.
Evidence and answers
Blizzard's pre-purchase announcement puts Skyborne and Zephras Isle in Heroic or higher and gives Epic and Collection Beta access from September 17. Blizzard Support confirms Collector's Edition as a guaranteed-Beta route delivered by email. Invite-A-Friend Support gives Heroic one code and Epic, Collection, and Collector's Edition three; codes cover November 4–11, 2026 and include no Skyborne, Zephras Isle, or Game Time. Game Time Support confirms the activation timing above.
Heroic is the cheapest paid upgrade at $29.99. Basic launch access only needs a Subscription or Game Time. Checked sources list no permanent free option. Invite-A-Friend codes last November 4–11, 2026. Epic, Collection, and Collector's Edition include guaranteed Beta; signup alone does not. Storefront checks on September 13, 2026 confirmed that the physical Collector's Edition sold out on the Blizzard Gear Store with pre-orders closed. Digital upgrades on Battle.net remain available, allowing players to secure guaranteed beta access via the Skyborne Epic Pack ($59.99) or Warcraft Forever Collection ($79.99). The separate Subscription/Game Time price is Not announced.
