WoW Forever Tauren classes and baseline

Tauren are Horde. A hands-on demo lists Warrior, Hunter, Shaman, and Druid, but Blizzard has not published a race-and-class matrix. Treat the demo as reported, not a launch guarantee.

The WoW Classic manual identifies Camp Narache in Mulgore as the starting area, Thunder Bluff as the capital, and those four as the original Tauren classes. Their original role context is Warrior (melee), Hunter (ranged attacker and pet), Shaman (Horde melee/support/healing hybrid), and Druid (healing, spells, and forms); these are not Forever tuning claims. Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Mage, and Warlock remain unavailable to Tauren, with no addition announced (Battle.net).

The manual describes Tauren as once-nomadic hunters of kodos who followed the Earth Mother. With orc aid, Cairne Bloodhoof and the Bloodhoof tribe drove back the centaur and claimed Mulgore; Thunder Bluff became their refuge, and the Great Hunt anchors Tauren spiritual culture. This is original WoW context, not a Forever story promise.

What Forever says about Mulgore’s neighboring area

Blizzard’s What's Next panel recap places Shen'dralas between Mulgore and Desolace. Its Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas, Dire Maul, and centaur ties have no published Tauren or level detail, so Tauren involvement and any Mulgore expansion remain unknown.

Blizzard names Dwarf Shaman and Forsaken Paladin, while updates reach every specialization (Battle.net product page; Confirmed). A roadmap announcement says spring adds two unnamed class-and-race combinations (Planned); features and timing can change. Subscription or Game Time grants access, while Heroic or higher gates Skyborne’s Zephras Isle start (Battle.net product page; Confirmed).

What is still unknown

  • Whether the demo’s four classes ship in the final Tauren list.
  • Tauren racial abilities or reworks; new voices, faces, fur options, or other customization.
  • Whether either unnamed spring combination involves Tauren.
  • Shen'dralas’ level range, quests, Tauren involvement, or Mulgore expansion.
  • Whether Tauren druid forms change with Skyborne forms.

Tauren FAQ

The same demo report reports Tauren Druid and Shaman. Both are Reported because Blizzard has not announced the full matrix or final launch status.
