Race access
Blizzard has not published a complete Forever race and class matrix. Warcraft Tavern reports five Warlock races and marks Troll as new; Wowhead identifies Human, Gnome, Orc, and Undead as the original WoW roster from 2004 to 2006. Neither secondary table is a Blizzard launch list, so these are reports, not launch guarantees, and no best race can be confirmed.

Current class evidence
No Warlock-specific role, specialization, rotation, or tuning detail is published. Blizzard's roundup names no Warlock example, although Blizzard promises updates across all specializations focused on talents, noticeable abilities, and meaningful trade-offs.
Blizzard has not published a Warlock build or talent tree. Wowhead's calculator warns that its trees mirror WoW Classic and are being updated from BlizzCon information, so it is a fan reference rather than confirmed Forever data.
No Forever rules or roster for demons, pets, or summoning are published in the checked first-party sources. No Warlock-specific PvP setup, tuning, or rotation is published either; Classic or fan assumptions may not carry over. The shared talent guide, class guide, and PvP guide cover announced or system-level information without filling those gaps.
Dwarf Shaman and Forsaken Paladin are named new combinations; neither is Warlock.
Early player reads and community impressions
In community analysis, Ben (.khalma) notes that Warlock looks wild based on early kit impressions. Blizzard's Deep Dive panel recap corroborates that tactical dungeon crowd control—explicitly naming Banish and Fear—and deliberate 10–15 second combat pacing are core design pillars for Forever, but Blizzard has not published full talent trees, pet formulas, or written rotation guides, so early player excitement remains an interest signal rather than a performance ranking.
Still unknown
- Whether the five press-listed races are available at launch; only the first four are the original WoW baseline, and Blizzard's Forever list remains unpublished.
- Whether any new race gains Warlock. Blizzard named Dwarf Shaman and Forsaken Paladin; the two spring combinations are unnamed and planned.
- Warlock talent trees, spell changes, specialization tuning, demons, pets, resources, and summoning rules.
- Whether Warlock's role or rotation changes and how it fits the wider class rework.
