Orc in WoW Forever: classes and racials

Orcs are a Horde race. Blizzard has announced no Forever faction-change feature. The original World of Warcraft Orc baseline (2004–2006) was Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, and Warlock. That baseline is confirmed for original WoW, but it is not a complete Forever roster.

Blizzard’s confirmed announcements

The What's Next panel recap says Forever adds new abilities and new race-and-class combinations, and names Skyborne. The Battle.net product page names Dwarf Shaman and Forsaken Paladin; neither is an Orc combination. The What's Next roadmap lists two unnamed race-and-class combinations for spring, with timing subject to change. Blizzard scheduled the Forever Deep Dive for September 13 at 10:00 a.m. PDT on the BlizzCon schedule.

Orc classes and racial traits

The official Orc race page supports the original class baseline:

Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, and Warlock: original WoW classes; no Forever change announced (Confirmed).
Mage: not an original Orc class, but the official Creator Showcase demonstrates an Orc Mage in live gameplay; the final matrix remains unpublished (Developer preview).

Original Orc racial traits are Blood Fury, Command, Axe Specialization, and Hardiness (Confirmed). The demo report says Shatter Curse replaces Command, but Blizzard has published no final Forever racial list (Reported).

What remains unknown

It is unknown whether the demonstrated Orc Mage ships in the final launch matrix, whether Forever keeps all five original Orc classes, and which racial abilities are final. The roadmap does not identify whether either unnamed spring combination involves Orc. No first-party page announces new Orc customizations or a starting-zone change.

Creator Showcase: Orc Mage preview

The official World of Warcraft: Forever Creator Showcase demonstrates an Orc Mage in active gameplay (00:07:10–00:07:35). This updates the earlier press and demo reports, but it does not publish a complete Forever race-class matrix or establish final launch availability.
